A video for 24 Flavors: raw chocolate shot like a commercial

With the mechanic, the video works because you believe it from the first frame - shot on a phone, no retakes, exactly as it happened. With raw vegan chocolate brand 24 Flavors, it's the opposite: a composed frame, lighting, packaging in focus, on-screen text appearing at exactly the right moment.

These are two sides of the same studio: phone footage when authenticity matters most, and professional camera work when the job is to sell through a polished image.

The task

Show the product in a way that stops someone scrolling their feed and tells them: this isn't homemade food, it's a brand with a face. For handmade chocolate, the packaging needs to look premium, the ingredients need to be clear at a glance, and the video itself needs to read as professional, high-quality advertising that reinforces the brand's status. The task here is the mirror image of the mechanic's: not to convince through speed and honesty, but to draw people in with the image.

The solution

The video was shot and edited as a staged commercial, frame by frame:

  • close-ups of the packaging — kraft paper, twine, a label with a mandala — so the brand's character comes through before the viewer even reads the name;
  • product shots of the chocolate itself - carefully composed in advance to look appetizing and make you want to buy it;
  • ingredient collages — what the product is made of, shown rather than described;
  • on-screen text cards - the flavor name, short highlights - guide the viewer's attention through the video, the way a professional brand commercial should.

The runtime is 30 seconds — exactly right for social media: enough to show the packaging, the ingredients and the flavor, without running so long that the viewer scrolls past.

The video follows every rule of staged advertising: composed lighting, a planned storyboard, deliberate color and composition in every frame. It was shot and edited by Olga Dobromyslova, the studio's video partner.

If your task calls for simple, unstaged footage rather than a production, see the mechanic's case: an ad filmed on a phone - "A video for Gevorg: roadside repair, filmed on a phone".

The result

The result is a horizontal video (1280×720, 30 seconds, kept lightweight for the website) with product shots, ingredient collages and on-screen text cards in the frame. No run-and-gun filming, no improvisation — just frames composed in advance around the brand. Between them, the studio and Olga cover both ends of video: honest, unstaged footage when you need people to believe it in five seconds, and a staged commercial when you need to sell through the image.
